Further legal information is available in the Site Notice.
Registration for the event takes place via the event platform or another designated registration channel.
A binding contract is concluded once the organizer confirms the registration. Registration applies only to the package and any optional elements selected during registration and confirmed by the organizer.
Participation fees must be paid in advance. Invoices are due within 14 days of issue and, in any case, must be paid in full before participation in the event.
The organizer reserves the right to cancel unpaid registrations and release reserved capacity if payment has not been received by the due date or, at the latest, 30 days before the start of the event.
Optional workshops may be subject to additional fees. Tours, workshops, and other program elements are subject to availability and capacity limits.
Registrations are valid only for the package and optional elements booked and confirmed.
The organizer will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested workshops, tours, and similar selections. However, all such elements are subject to availability, capacity, and operational requirements.
Changes requested by participants may be allowed at the organizer’s discretion and only if space is available.
Cancellations must be made in writing.
In the event of cancellation by a participant, the following refund rules apply:
up to 30 days before the start of the event: 80% refund
29 to 15 days before the start of the event: 50% refund
14 days or less before the start of the event: no refund
A substitute participant may be nominated before the event at no extra charge, provided no invoice correction, cancellation, reissue, or comparable administrative adjustment is required.
If a substitution requires such administrative adjustment, the organizer may retain or charge an administrative fee of 20% of the participation fee.
The event program is continuously being developed. Information published regarding speakers, topics, formats, venues, hosts, schedules, tours, and other program elements is indicative and subject to change.
The organizer reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the program, including replacing speakers, adjusting timings, changing venues, modifying session content, or cancelling individual program elements, provided the overall character of the event is preserved.
Such changes do not entitle participants to a full or partial refund unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Participants are expected to behave respectfully and professionally toward other participants, speakers, partners, venue staff, and organizers.
Participants must comply with applicable venue rules, safety requirements, and instructions issued by the organizer or its representatives.
The organizer may exclude any participant from the event, in whole or in part, if their conduct is disruptive, unsafe, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or otherwise unreasonable. In such cases, no refund shall be due.
Some program elements may include guided walking tours or movement through public or semi-public spaces.
Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness, mobility, and suitability for such activities. They are also responsible for wearing appropriate clothing and footwear and for following instructions given by guides, venue representatives, or organizer staff.
Participation in such elements is at the participant’s own responsibility.
Photo, video, and audio recordings may be made during the event for documentation, reporting, communication, and promotional purposes, but also by other participants.
Participants who have specific concerns regarding recordings are asked to contact the organizer in advance or speak to the event team on site. Further information is available in the Privacy Policy.
Sponsors, exhibitors, or other event partners may offer giveaways, raffles, or promotional items during the event.
Such offers are subject to availability and, where applicable, to additional conditions communicated separately by the respective provider.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the organizer is not the manufacturer, provider, or warrantor of third-party products or services offered in connection with such giveaways.
Where applicable, participants are responsible for self-reporting any continuing education hours or similar professional credits to GBCI or any other relevant body.
The organizer may provide reminders or practical instructions after the event but does not guarantee recognition, approval, or acceptance of credits by any third party.
The organizer shall be liable without limitation in cases of intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health.
In cases of slight negligence, the organizer shall only be liable for breach of essential contractual obligations and only for foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
To the extent permitted by law, any further liability is excluded. In particular, the organizer shall not be liable for travel costs, accommodation costs, lost profits, indirect damages, or loss of or damage to personal belongings, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
Personal data are processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the Privacy Policy.
The organizer shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance if such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural events, strikes, public health measures, transport disruption, governmental action, or similar events.
In such cases, the organizer may modify, postpone, or cancel the event or parts of it as reasonably necessary.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict of laws provisions.
